TOMMY'S
LAST GIFT
ABOUT THE BOOK
One brother behind bars. The other holding what's left of the family together. A baby girl at the heart of it all.
Tommy Brooks was never a hero, but when a man crossed the line and hurt the woman he loved, Tommy crossed it further. Now serving time for a violent crime, all he can offer is one last act of love: entrusting his newborn daughter to the only person he still trusts, his quiet, overwhelmed younger brother, Emmett.
Back on their crumbling family farm in rural Manitoba, Emmett is already losing a battle he never asked for: a father fading into dementia, a future slipping away, and the weight of grief that won't let go. Taking on a child means opening old wounds and finding the courage to heal them.
Told with raw tenderness and quiet power, Tommy’s Last Gift is a deeply emotional story about the ties that bind us, the pain that shapes us, and the unexpected hope that can still grow from loss.
A beautifully written novel of love, loyalty, and second chances. For fans of stories that break your heart just enough to put it back together.

TOMMY'S LAST GIFT: A LOVE STORY
Tommy's Last Gift is a standalone novel about two brothers, a newborn child and a family already struggling under the weight of loss. When Tommy Brooks is sent to prison, his younger brother Emmett is left with the responsibility of caring for Tommy's daughter.
On their deteriorating family farm in rural Manitoba, Emmett is also trying to cope with a father fading into dementia and a future that increasingly feels beyond his control. The arrival of the baby forces him to confront responsibilities, memories and grief he can no longer avoid.
Rather than the science-fiction and post-apocalyptic worlds of Keith J. McIntosh's other novels, Tommy's Last Gift tells an intimate story about family, loyalty, grief, healing and the possibility of finding hope after loss.
